YOU DON'T KNOW ME

Horror and mystery blog

We the humans are so drawn to stories. It does not matter whether it is actual, fake or whatsoever. We all love stories. Being a kid I used to annoy my Granny by insisting her to tell me a tale. She was so sweet and always showered love to me. She always used to say the stories of king, queens, and angel before going to bed but on that night when half-moon was glowing darkly in the sky, she did not spare me and tell me this tale.

It was a dark and stormy night, the howling of the wolf can easily be discerned. It started raining and soon turned into a downpour, Right from there, the story of a man named Rishabh starts. He was around the age of 25 wearing a rough denim jacket and a black t-shirt with a blue pair of jeans and converse shoes. He was a white skin guy with a patchy beard and a mid-long dark black hair. Though he was handsome, he looked parched from his face. His car was standing still on the other side of the road. Escaping the downpour rain, he paced towards the nearby cottage. It seemed a feeble cottage which is just been prepared by the grasses and straw but actually, it was a theme. The house actually was well built and nonetheless was strong.

The freezing wind blew in his face and made him shiver. He banged the door twice so loud. A woman around 30 years old opened the gate. She was wearing a black night suit which was perfectly fitted to her. The body curves of her were clearly visible. She was looking exactly the same as he has seen in his dreams. Rishabh was looking lecherously at her from top to bottom. All his quiver has gone so far.
The lady interrupted him with a finger snap and helped him to come back to real world. She then asked about his matter of wandering in this heavy rain for which he introduced himself with greetings and in return, she just facade the smile. Rishabh carried on and explained that he was going on a business trip to the city and how his car broke down on the way and it is not taking self. He then urged to make a phone call to a mechanic whom he acquainted with during his last visit.

The lady then gave him an uncanny look. It seems that her eyes were saying to get out but just not spilling it through the mouth. Before she could say anything, Rishabh pretended to be the poorest guy in the world requested her to help him and played his emotional tactics to filter the mind as for how he does to girls. Fortunately, the trick worked and finally, the lady got agreed to allow him to make a call. Rishabh thanked her and entered the house. He rounded up his eyes to every corner of it as far they can see. It was ragtag, the house was a total mess. Nothing was in its place.

Anyway, he was just there to make a phone call so he forwarded towards the same which was kept on the table in the corner. The woman was sharply waiting for him to finish the call and to leave her house. Rishabh put out his mobile from his pocket to get the number of the mechanic and picked up the phone to dial the number only then he found out that the phone is dead. The color of Rishabh’s face diminished. It would not be wrong if said that he looked the saddest person exist on earth. When he told the lady about it, she sighed in disgust and made the gesture to appear how annoyed she is. She then halfheartedly explained to him that it is common here and predominantly happens whenever it rains. Rishabh was unhappy, this was the most sorrowful thing to hear. He dolefully asked for the permission to the lady to leave the house and thanked her again for being Samaritan.

The lady wanted him to leave the house but she too was human and so was kind. Eventually, she did not let him go out and allowed him to wait at her place. Rishabh became happy, he got what he desired from the beginning but he could not resist himself and asked the lady why she is behaving so weird for which she replied that she is an eidolist and was trying to call a spirit with an Ouija board before he was there.

She did not want to reveal this to him and that is why appealing to leave him as early as possible. This made him more uncomfortable and he became assured that whatever he thought about this lady was true, she is absolutely insane. Finally, the actual conversation between them went off something like this -

“Do you believe in ghosts?” — The lady whispered
“What? No! Not at all and I don’t know why people believe in such thing that does not even exist” — He replied in an unfocused way
“Who says you that it does not exist?” — The lady asked furiously
“Who says it does?” — Rishabh replied astutely
“This board does and that is why I was trying this one but you interrupted me” — The lady said pointing towards a board. She continued — “Now I want you to help me to call a spirit and let see it comes or not”.

At this point, Rishabh was petrified but did not want to look like one so he agreed. Both were now all set to call a spirit with the help of Ouija Board. Suddenly the sound of thunderstorm seeks their attention. Despite this, they continued. The lady told that you just have to understand the rules which I have just told you and just follow my lead. Rishabh agreed. They both did the same.

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

It was a harsh thump on the door much akin to one Rishabh made hours before when he was out. They both looked into each other’s eyes. No one of them wanted to go there and open the gate but someone needed to open that gate. There was a kind of heavy breathing coming out behind the door and was terrifying at the same time. At long last, the lady got up and opened the gate. There was a guy next door who was the one who was banging the door so madly, she sighed in relief and asked irately “What happened?”

He then told her that there has been an accident on the highway, the person in the car might be dead. If she has a phone then it would be better to call an ambulance so that the guy get some help. The lady unaware of all the facts and in dreadful horror gathered courage and went near the car. The sight shocked here and she was taken aback.

Her feet got frozen with fear. The body was no one’s but of Rishabh. Before she can understand anything, she heard a heavy breathing and felt all cold around her. When she turned back, there he was Rishabh standing next to her. His eyes were blood red and there was dim fog around his powdered white face. What he said still stuck in the mind of a lady, he said -

You asked me that does spirit come when you call it? Yes! IT DOES, but sometimes it gets tough to make them go away

The voice echoed and it was a pure evil.
